Nature Hikes

Doomsday is coming quickly....im back to work on Monday. So in the mean time we are trying to make the best of the days we have left. Luckily Mother Nature has been on our side and it has been clear and even sunny a few days. Wednesday morning we went on a half mile hike/walk that goes around the falls on the Deschutes River here in Olympia. Tristan was true to form and slept most of the way! haha! Friday morning we discovered a new area in west Olympia in Capital Forest. Its called the Mclane Nature Trail and we found it by chance because I forgot the directions to another trail that we were trying to get to! Oops! Either way, I was grateful because we had so much fun! We hiked for just over an hour and will definitely be going again. I even crossed a very small river on a log with Tristan...i had a mini melt down once I got across but all was well. Can't wait for Tristan to stay awake on one of these adventures. I'm so glad that winter is over and spring is on the way!!! :)
