Slumber Party!!!

Tuesday night Grandpa and Grandma Mike and Jane and adopted uncle David came to stay the night with us!!! I had big plans to make either a roast or yummy Taco soup for dinner, the perfect housewife/new mom right?! Well, not really...just the thought of my cooking sent my Dad looking for a Chinese food place close by! As he put it, hillbillies from east of the mountains don't get out much so they were all craving Chinese food.....sure!!! Actually, it was very nice to not have to cook and be visiting instead so thanks for dinner Guys! :) Tristan was so excited to meet his Grandpa and Grandma! As most of you know he sleeps through most of his visitors and I thought we were going to repeat this behavior. But after a good long nap/food coma he was up and raring to go keeping us all entertained!!! It was so good to see you guys!!! Thanks for making the trip, I know it wasn't easy!! Thanks David for driving the extra mileage!! Tristan had a very good visit with his Grandparents and can't wait to see them again! :)

Thankful for so many things....

Yesterday we hosted our first Thanksgiving at our house. You might be suprised to hear that with 6 adults, two pre-teens and two infants all in the kitchen at various times we made it through the entire day without any food fights - okay one lil debate on a spatula vs a fork but everything worked itself out! Kyle mastered his first Turkey...thank goodness he didn't listen to a thing that I said about it because it turned out perfect!! So fun to celebrate Tristans first Thanksgiving with so much family...including his cousin Gavin. Thank you Chancey and Lisa for their matching bibs that provided a perfect picture opportunity! Another first on Thanksgiving, Tristan joined in our tradition of seeing a movie after dinner and went to his first movie in a theatre! I was so scared I would be that crazy mom in a theatre with a screaming baby...however true to his form, he slept the whole time with a few peeps in between but nothing anyone but me could here!!! We saw The Blind Side....so good! ;)

Tuesday was a day that Tristan will never remember but will always be grateful for....circumcision day! dom dom dom.... I swore there was no way I was going in for the procedure and Kyle was going to have to be there for the both of us...however when it came down to it I couldn't not be there. Our little guy was so tough but so was the rest of the day!!! Thank goodness for infant tylenol!!

Our first long trip away from home was last saturday to go to Tristans aunty Shy's first gymnastics meet in Tacoma....something that we wouldn't miss for the world. She did so good and we are so proud of her! Of course we were almost late getting there, as we often are these days.

Tristan is getting so excited for Tuesday to see Grandpa and Grandma Mike and Jane!!! :)

It took a week...

And today it happened....he caught me off guard while I was changing one of his many many stinky diapers. I hear something...it sounds like water dripping or spraying. Sure enough he is peeing and I have nothing covering the down stairs!!! To his dismay im sure, he missed me however he did not miss the changing table and himself! haha! A milestone in my journey of mommy hood! ;) A journey I must say that I think I was born for! I love being a mom and wouldn't change anything for a minute! He's the light of our lives (thats for you Dad and Boog)!!!! Im behind on getting pictures up from Sundays visitors - not sure what I've been doing with my time but I better get on top of it!!! Josh and Lindsay came over in the morning to watch football and to convert Tristan early to a Jets fan! Then Grammy Tammy, Aunt Sheyenn, Aunt Jessi, Uncle Geno and cousin Gavin came over bringing lunch! This was the first meeting for Gavin and Tristan - Although they kept their conversation short and sweet I believe that they had an instant connection over binkys and stinky diapers! Our day isn't over yet, Kyles aunt Jamie and aunt Brinky came over in the afternoon with pasta for dinner and bagels for breakfast...yes we are very spoiled these days!!

Todays Visitors

Tristan had a busy Saturday...he got to meet his uncle Paul for the first time and spend some time with Grandma Bailey. He also made some new friends and got to meet Kinsey, Jack and Heidi for the first time. His furry siblings Sadie and Buddy are getting used to sharing the spotlight. They spend most of there time just checking on him and making sure he is okay. In his spare time he ate, slept and pooped! :)

This Weeks Pictures

Bath Time

Wednesday night we were having a bit of gas and not feeling well so we thought it would be a good time to have a litle bath! Yeah yeah, we know...your not suppose to do bath time yet but as Baileys often don't we decided not to follow all of the rules!! Although he was not thrilled about the process itself, he was feeling much better afterwards...all clean and warm and fuzzy - he slept all night long!!!

WORTH THE WAIT!!!!

TRISTAN IS HERE!!! :)
Our little man was finally born Sunday, November 8th @ 2:26 pm., Weighing in at 8 lbs 7 oz and 20 inches long. After waiting very patiently (yeah right) almost a week past my due date my water broke at 10 pm Saturday night and we headed to the hospital full of giddy excitement and nerves. Of course the story does not go on to say "and labor was a peach and he was born within the hour" Oh no, not this Bailey Boy!! After an excruciating 4 hours of trying to be tough and not giving in to the wonderful drugs they offer you....to the relief of my worried although amazingly supportive husband i did just that and gave in and got the epidural (any woman that has gone through labor naturally with no drugs...my hat is off to you). P.S. Epidural I love you! After another 12 hours of labor Tristan was still determined to avoid the light at the end of the tunnel. With a few heartrate drops (very scary) and a lack of progression we headed in for a very unexpected C-section. Regardless what he put us through -the little booger - he is finally here and he is PERFECT! We are so in love and just obsessed with him!!! Having a baby is all about firsts...first smiles, first steps, first words etc - Tristan was so happy to meet his first visitors at the hospital - Grandma and Grandpa Bailey, Grammy Tammy, Aunt Jessi, Aunt Sheyann and Aunt Kelsey, Mike and Falon, Candice and almost Jill but he just took too darn long! We were there for two days and he also got to meet Aunt Allison, our friend Joe and some friends from work Joyce, Chris, Darlene and Nancy. Thanks to friends and family our fridge and cupboards are stocked with meals. Thank you Grandma Bailey for your special Chicken Noodle Soup, Joe and Mandy for being stinkers and spoiling us completely Trader Joes style, Grammy Tammy for your specail treat for the proud new papa, Aunt Kelsey for the easy to prepare frozen deliciousness. We are so grateful! We are so excited for everyone to meet our lil guy! We couldn't be prouder parents and he is only 4 days old!!!

Still Waiting....

Well....this lil man of ours is just not quite ready to make his debut. Maybe its the cold rainy weather, maybe its the thought of meeting Buddy or maybe he's just not done cooking yet...who knows! All I know is that I can't wait to see his face and kiss all his fingers and toes!! Its like being 5 years old, waiting for Christmas morning and every morning its not there but could be the next day! haha
Today we have a Drs appt and will get an update on how things are going. Its at 2:15 and were hoping he comes before that! haha
We will keep you all posted!! Thanks for all of your texts messages and phone calls! We love you and can't wait for you to meet our lil guy!
