Busy Weekend!

So many people to see...so much to do!!! We had such a good weekend! 1 week and counting and I am back to work! :( Trying to fit as much fun time in before that happens. Friday night Mike, Falon and Trio came for a visit. We had dinner and played games and I must say that I kicked b-u-t-t in poker which rarely happens...in the end, Falon and I called it a tie but I think I won! :)
Saturday we woke up to Sunshine...what a nice change!
Sunday Kyle went to Josh's to watch the Jets get enilated in a game against the colts which led to Josh being bald! Yup he lost a bet and had to shave his head! Meanwhile Tristan and I spent the day with Grammy Tammy and aunt Sheyann! We had so much fun!!! We watched movies, played hangman and ate lots of fudge bars and rice crispie treats! Gotta love spending the day at mom/grammy's house!

Vitamin D!!!!!!!!!!

What in the world is that big orange ball in the sky??? Sunshine is that you? It was so nice of the wonderful sunshine to make an appearance today! It took awhile to get motivated but finally we did. Tristan and I walked to the school and walked the track while watching a soccer game. Such a fun Mother/Son event! :) I'm so excited for summertime!!!

Daily Discoveries...

Tristan has discovered that IF he can reach them...socks are his to remove if he so chooses! Its bad enough that baby socks DO NOT stay on but now he takes them off! Very fun to watch though!!

Tristan also discovered his first pair of jeans!!!! He looks so handsome in his jeans and buttom up...Momma's little man!

Out for a walk!

Finally it wasn't raining, winding, snowing or freezing and we made it out for a walk! ;) Tristan had so much fun for about the first 5 minutes...then he fell asleep! haha!

Nothin better than a baby giggle....

Tristan is starting to discover different sounds and noises he can make including a giggle!!! We've gotten two full giggles so far and then of course made fools of ourselves for hours ever since trying to get another one! He also does this silly little cough thing that just confirms how high he ranks on the goober scale! haha! He's got a monkey on the wall above his changing table that we names Marvin and boy do they have some very intense conversations!
We had our first date night last Thursday! Of course we went to our favorite restaurant Tokyo and invited Josh and Lindsay to celebrate their bun in the oven!!! So excited for them! Then we headed to the new "commons" theatre and watched Avatar in 3D....Great Movie! :) All the while Tristan was talking it up at Grammy Tammy and Aunt Shy's house. Thanks Mom for our wonderful date night! :)
Sunday we took the whole family to Amanda's baby shower hosted by Mandy and Falon at Joe and Mandy's house. By the looks of the pictures...the Carter/Meyer family needs a little one running around soon!!! Congrats to Amanda for EZ's arrival! :)
Its definately the baby boom right now...i think Tristan started a trend!!! I already mentioned that the Weingarts were expecting and also Congrats to Chris and Shannon who are expecting a little Greener baby August 19th! :) Congratulation to Kinsey to is expecting baby #3 (4 for the Flauding family) and Kimmy and Johan expecting baby #1!!! Can't wait for all of these babies!

Meeting Santa!!

Tristan met jolly 'ol Saint Nick for the first time at Grandma Kerrys work Christmas party!

Is that you Charlie Brown?

Nope....Charlie Gillespie! So fun to see you while you were here...thinking you guys should move home and have little ones of your own! :)

Busy First Christmas

The excitement surrounding the Christmas holiday was doubled this year for our family of three! :) Decorating the house between naps and meal times was a tad bit difficult and needless to say we did not host our annual Christmas party but were so blessed with lots of family time. Our Christmas celebrations started Christmas Eve and we stayed the night with my mom and Sheyann. I had a glimpse into my Christmas Eve future when mom opened the box of a play kitchen for Sheyann and saw all the little plastic pieces that needed to be assembled before Christmas morning. Why we waited until 11:30 at night to start is beyond me! Kyle was smart and at the sight of all that allemply required...he headed to bed!!! Thanks to coffee and brownies we made it through and the kitchen was complete by morning! Thanks Mom and Twink for a wonderful Christmas morning...so fun to be with you guys!

Around noon we headed to Kyle's parents house for more fun and family. Controlled chaos is the best way to describe the excitement at the Baileys on Christmas morning and never a dull moment! As he often does Tristan slept through most of the excitement...Thanks Grandpa Paul for holding him most of the day! Thank you everyone for all of our wonderful gifts! Grateful that Uncle Paul got the gift that Gavin wrapped complete with a personal ornament on top! :) Somehow our camera didn't make it out amongst all the excited...Kerry I would love some pictures from Christmas at your house!!! Sorry! ;(

Our Christmas travels are still not complete! The 27th we headed on our longest road trip yet over to my Dads in eastern washington. Aside from one stop for some nourishment..Tristan slept the entire way. Jessi, Geno and Gavin stayed an extra day just so we could all be together! Tristan met his other Great Grandma Joy while we were there. He is so blessed with so many that love him! I discovered that one of Kyles hidden talents is apparently.....SCRABBLE! Going into it thinking I would kick his butt he beat Jessi Geno and I in a competetive game of scrabble! Good job honey! His luck was not so good the second day when Dad beat both of us! So good to see Jane was doing so good and getting healthier by the day!!! We even got some snow while we were there!!!

With lots of added miles and memories our first Christmas as a family of three was fantastic!
