HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!

What a year 2010 was!!!  So many memories so many milestones!  I hope to be better with my blogging in 2011 but I'm not making any promises because my track record is not so great.  I'm starting off 2011 not so great with a fractured wrist...to the Orthapedic doctor I go today who will determine what our plan of action is.  Its been hurting for some time and when the swelling started I decided it was about time to get an xray.  Hopefully we will come away with some good news today.
On a happier note, we had a fantastic Christmas and New Year.  We started Christmas early with a trip to the east side to celebrate Christmas wth Grandma and Grandpa See (that sounds funny).  Then Christmas eve we spent with the Rosellini family at our all time favorite restaurant Tokyo in Federal Way.  Whenever I go there the Cheers theme song plays through my head...'Where everybody knows your name...'  You get the point.  They always treat Kyle and I like family and now they just adore Tristan! :)  Christmas morning we woke at our house and then off to Grandma and Grandpa Baileys for a crazy chaotic fun filled day! Tristan was much more involved in all the festivites this year which was not hard to do considering he slept through both holidays last year being barely 2 months old.  It was so fun to watch him open presents and play with cousins and spend time with family.  He is such a silly little guy and we fall more in love with him every day.  His personality is coming out with a bang these days.  We refer to our house as the landing point of Tornado Tristan.  He is not lacking toys or imagination that is for sure.  I was so spoiled this year by everybody but especially by my husband who went so far over the Christmas budget that I should be making him sleep in the Tree House.  However, I'm so in love with my new golf clubs that he was forgiven very quickly.  I woke up Christmas morning to my golf bag under the tree and a scavenger hunt to find all my wonderful new clubs! :)  Thanks Honey!
Our Holiday season was bitter sweet in some points.  My Great Grandma Shaw passed away December 16th at the young age of 98.  What a life she had.  She was such an amazing lady, so gracious with her time for all of her grandkids.  I'm sure every one of them thought they were the favorite....I know I did!  I hope to be half the woman she was when I grow up.  We drove to Brewster for the funeral, on the up side it was nice to see family and spend time with my Dad.  I think we have seen him more in the last 2 months then the last year, Its been great.  Tristan has warmed right up to his East Side Grandparents even though he doesn't see them often...He knows exactly where they keep the gold fish at their house! :)

Our best friends Mike and Falon bought a new house in November and what a perfect time to have a combined Housewarming and New Years Party.  Thanks Grammy Tammy for having T spend the night at your house, these two kids needed a night out!  We had such a great time with friends and laughed and stayed up way too late but it was all worth it.

Heres to wishing all of you a fantastic 2011 and if you have resolutions, good luck with those!  Mine usually last the month of January and then my selective memory kicks in and I forget I ever had one!  This year will be different.  I have two New Years resolutions...1) Spend more time with my Sadie Girl - when you have a baby your pet baby definately gets booted out of the number one spot...thats obviously to be expected.  Now that we are getting the hang of this parenting thing my best four legged pal needs some TLC and some new tennis balls! :) 2) The most common of resolutions - this girl needs to get her booty (among other things) in shape for summer!  Last summer was a baby recovery summer, this year is not!  Lets hope  I have the will power to take care of me and get back to friends with the image in the mirror!

  2. Nice update Lou. Except - I thought we talked about your New Year resolution...sissy is spelled S-I-S-S-Y not S-A-D-I-E....I know what you meant though. No hard feelers here. Can't wait for our weekend trapped in a cabin together while we watch a winter wonderland take place. LOVE to you!!!
